You get to a Database Level by double clicking on a title in JP's Top Level or using the Database Menu. This is where you will probably spend most of your time with the Pointer.
Once in a database you will see many folder icons, which represent categories and sub-categories. You can open or close a folder by double clicking on it or by clicking once on the plus or minus sign to its left. (It works just like Windows explorer.)
Inside the folders you will see more folders, which represent sub-categories, and bookmarks. There are five types of bookmarks, each represented by a different icon: web page, newsgroup, email address, gopher server and telnet system. (Note we use the term "site" generically to mean any kind of bookmark or, more correctly, type of resource.)
Once you find a bookmark for a site you want to visit, double click on it to send its URL to your browser. You can also select it and click the Go to URL button or the Open URL item in the File menu.
Besides visiting a site with a bookmark, you can add it to Hot Dogs or email it to someone. First, select a bookmark by clicking on it once and then right click to bring up the context menu and click your choice.
